Seaman Cherone Louis Gunn was one of the 17 sailors killed in the terrorist attack on the USS COLE. Cherone followed his dad's footsteps and joined the U.S. Navy in January 2000. He left for his first med cruise in August and came home as a fallen hero. Cherone was the middle son of four boys. He has an older brother and twin brothers two years younger than him.
