Men’s Expedition – Dover, DE (May 9th – May 15th, 2016) - The Travis Manion Foundation hosted an Expedition in partnership with NEMCO Motorsports in conjunction with a NASCAR race weekend. During this Expedition survivors, volunteers and TMF staff were able to help honor the fallen by participating in a service project which benefited a military Veteran.

Frazeysburg United Methodist Church opened their doors and their hearts during a special church service on Sunday May, 15th. This small town church in Ohio was filled with Gold Stars, veterans, and supporters from across the local area. Special guest, Ms. Shannon Davis, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Program Manager, from Fleet and Family Support Program, provided a special presentation regarding the Navy's Gold Star program. She also spent time talking to them about ways the community can connect with Gold Star families and veterans and ways they can educate the American public about this program. The Gold Star App and website was displayed as a virtual link and connection for all Gold Star families and Veterans, despite service affiliation.
