Birth: Aug. 1, 1983 Blacksburg (Montgomery County) Montgomery County Virginia, USA Death: Aug. 10, 2008, Iraq Sgt. Kenneth B. Gibson of Christiansburg, Virginia graduated from Christiansburg High School in 2001 where he played football and baseball. Next to his senior picture, he had a quote saying "Never give up, there is always something better." Before graduating he had worked at a local supermarket. Known as "Kenny" and "Gibby" to family and friends, he joined the Army in March 6, 2002, and was assigned to Schofield Barracks in August of that year.
