SGT David E. Lambert of Cedar Bluff, Va, grew up in Virginia and was a Richlands High School graduate of the Class of 1987. Bo, as he was known by many, was a corrections officer for 11 years at Keen Mountain Correctional Center where he was a member of the Strike Force and Color Guard. He was also a member of the American Legion. He served 15 years in the Army and National Guard where he was awarded the rank of Sergeant. He enlisted in the Army in 1988 and in the National Guard in July 2005 and Virginia on July 19 for training at Fort McCoy. Bo was engaged to be married. He has been awarded the Bronze Star, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Purple Heart and Combat Action Badge.
