Birth: Oct. 23, 1971 Richmond Henrico County Virginia, USA Death: Mar. 25, 2003, Iraq Marine Staff Sgt May was assigned to the 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division, Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twenty-nine Palms, California. May was killed during convoy operations when his tank plunged off a cliff into the Euphrates River. Donald became interested in the military at an early age. He was inspired by the career path of his parents who met at Quantico Marine Corps Base in northern Virginia. He was a member of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets from age 12 to 18 and was also a police explorer.
