Birth: Sep. 14, 1980 Jamestown Chautauqua County New York, USA Death: Jul. 15, 2008, Iraq Staff Sgt. David W. Textor, 27, of Roanoke, Virginia. Originally from Jamestown, N.Y., he played football, wrestled and ran track while attending Randolph Central High School. After graduation, he moved to Virginia, and took some cooking jobs. In May of 2002, he enlisted in the United States Army and received basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He then was an infantryman with the 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, before winning a spot in the Special Forces (Green Beret's) in November 2006, currently assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), based at Fort Lewis, Washington. David wanted to fight for his country and his children, a proud soldier and family man, his family, especially his children, meant the world to him
